My Journey into Holistic Healing

I began my career in 2001, joining the ambulance service, where I proudly served for two decades. Working on the front line gave me invaluable experience in patient care. Over the years, I developed calm under pressure and a deep understanding of how the body responds to pain and trauma.

Discovering Bowen Therapy

In 2015, I discovered Bowen Therapy after suffering from excruciating TMJD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction) — a painful jaw condition causing misalignment and constant discomfort. I had tried everything, from prescription medication to mouth guards, but nothing eased the pain.

However, through a friend, I heard about Bowen Therapy. I’ll admit I was sceptical, yet also desperate. After my first session, I felt a deep sense of relaxation — and, to my amazement, the pain eased immediately. By my second treatment, the symptoms had completely gone. As a result, I realised just how effective Bowen Therapy could be for back pain and other conditions, such as those aided by lymphatic massage.

From Paramedic to Practitioner

The results were so incredible that I knew I wanted this therapy to be part of my life. Therefore, I began training soon after and qualified as a Bowen Practitioner in June 2016. Later that year, I decided to step back from full-time paramedicine, moving onto the bank, which allowed me to focus more on helping people through holistic care such as lymphatic massage.

Eventually, in 2021, I left the ambulance service completely to dedicate myself fully to my clients. The following year, in 2022, I opened my own clinic — Body Remedies — in Stoke Village, Plymouth, after working in several therapy spaces across the city. At my clinic, lymphatic massage is fast becoming cornerstone of my therapy offerings.

Expanding My Expertise

Today, I’m a full-time Bowen Practitioner, specialising in chronic back pain and sciatica. In addition, I am a Dr. Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapist, offering post-operative lymphatic drainage and Camofx drainage treatments — a sculpting and breathwork-centred approach to healing and recovery. Lymphatic massage plays a vital role in my clients’ recovery plans. Consequently, many clients now benefit from this combined, holistic approach to wellness.

Recognised and Trusted

I’m proudly registered with MLD UK https://mlduk.org.uk/find-a-therapist/  and recognised by the Nordesthetics Clinic in Lithuania https://www.nordesthetics.com/en/, reflecting my commitment to professional standards and exceptional client care.

My Mission at Body Remedies

From my beautiful clinic in Stoke Village, I help people reduce pain, restore movement, and reconnect with their bodies through gentle, restorative treatments that truly work. Above all, my mission is to help clients feel lighter, freer, and more balanced — both physically and emotionally, with lymphatic massage being a key component.
